So I am a follower, as you all may know. I have decided to jump on the program from hundredpushups.com. This site is training so people can do 100 pushups in a single rep. It's a really nice program and I think it will fit in nicely with my Wii fitness. I started on Monday, and my initial test came up with 24 push-ups. Kinda sad. That puts me in the "Level 3" area. The training is a six week program, three days a week. The workout is 5 sets of push-ups, with varying repetition requirements based on your level. Like most people, I chose to go Mon-Wed-Fri and for Week 1, I was on level 3. Results: Set Required Accomplished 1 10 10 2 10 10 3 8 8 4 6 6 5 MAX / 7 9 So I did better than expected, though, not by much. This morning I woke up and did a little Wii Fit, as usual. It was easier since I bailed on hockey last night. I love that sport, but the 10pm games are rough when I wake up at 5am. After the Wii, I went in and did my push-ups. Results: Set Required Accomplished 1 12 12 2 12 12 3 10 10 4 10 10 5 MAX / 10 15 Today was a little harder. My arms were a little beat up because of yard work and a short session at the gym on Monday. But I did exceed expectations. Looking forward to finishing a week of this program. Actually, I hope I have 6 weeks worth of entries for the dozens of people who accidentally stumble upon this blog. Note to self: You're a freakin web programmer.. Make this site look better.
