Morning workouts are bitter sweet

On the one hand, you're excercising. On the other hand, you're awake at five in the morning. Last nights hockey was fun. I didn't score any points, but we beat the first place team. I also got to play defense, which is rare because the team captain doesn't think I have the ability. Not that he's entirely wrong, but still that's not a nice thing to say. I blocked a shot and of course the puck found its way through my pads to hit my thigh pretty hard. There's already a small lump there and it should bruise up quite nicely.

This mornings Wii Fit was shorter than normal. At least it felt shorter because I didn't do that many different excercises. I did the Hula Hoop. This is an annoyingly addicting game. I am at around seven hundred spins per side. I can't think of a way to get more done. The second thing I did was the boxing. This is an addictingly annoying game. The trainer stops me right as I get into the pattern and then switches it up. They need a freestyle version where you pick out your patterens. A few yoga poses after that. The standing knee pose is my favorite because it stretches my hips out nicely after hockey. Still afraid of the dancer pose.

Moving on to the 100 push-ups challenge. Week two, day two, column three. I burned through the required sets and was feeling confident that I can plow through twenty five as my max set. Man does my ego like setting me up for failure. I only got seventeen, but that was still two more than the required. And when was the last time I did over sixty push ups? Seriously, can anyone answer that? I can't. My tracking page is, as always, here and of course the full program, if you want to try it out yourself, is at hundredpushups.com
